Monster.com is a job posting and job search site that caters to both employers and job seekers. The site is owned and operated by Monster Worldwide Inc, based in Weston, MA since its launch in 1999 by founder Jeff Taylor. Monster Worldwide is a subsidiary of the Dutch multinational human resource firm Randstad Holding. Monster provides employment recruiting services to employers as well as providing jobseekers with an online database and search engine to assist in finding work or posting their resume for employers to view.

Job seeking services are provided free of charge to users. Seekers may search the database of job listings, upload their resume and receive contacts from employers and recruiters, and even apply to jobs directly on the site if the posting allows for this option. Paid services are available to employers seeking applicants for their jobs who wish to contact potential recruits who have uploaded a resume or post a job listing for seekers to apply to directly. Three plans are available to employers. The Starter plan allows for one active job listing at a time, with an unlimited number of applicants for $249.00 per month. Standard memberships allow for 2 active jobs at a time, with unlimited applications, and a performance boost to make applying faster for $449.00 per month. Finally, the Premium plan allows for 5 active job postings, unlimited applications, the faster application performance boost, and unlimited searches with the ability to view up to 250 resumes per month for $999.00 per month. All three plans renew automatically each month and will continue to renew until cancelled but may be cancelled at any time.
