Cooking Channel is a television channel that broadcasts series and shows related to food and cooking. The channel was founded in 2001 as Fine Living but was relaunched as Cooking Channel in 2010. Cooking Channel is a spin-off of the Food Network. The channel is owned by Television Food Network, G.P., which is owned by Discovery, Inc. (69%) and Nexstar Media Group (31%). The headquarters are located in Knoxville, TN. Some sister channels include Destination America, DIY Network, Food Network, Great American Country, HGTV, Oprah Winfrey Network, and TLC. Cooking Channel’s slogan is “Stay Hungry”. The channel is available to over 61 million households, equating to over half of the households that have a television in the United States.
During the early days of the Cooking Channels, the channel showcased series by Food Network stars, Emeril Lagasse (Emerill’s Fresh Food Fast), Rachael Ray (Week In A Day), and Bobby Flay (Brunch @ Bobby’s).
