Plated is a meal kit subscription service. The company was founded in 2012. The founders were Harvard Business School classmates, Nick Taranto and Josh Hix. In 2013, the founders went on the popular business reality show, Shark Tank to pitch the idea of Plated. Kevin O’Leary made an investment within the company. In the fall of 2017, the company was purchased by the grocery chain, Albertsons. Since the spring of 2018, Albertsons has sold Plated kits in some of their stores.
Plated offers up to 20 new recipes each week. The kits are tailored to your personal preferences. It does not matter if you are a seafood lover or vegetarian; Plated has a perfect plan for you. All recipes only take 20-minutes to prepare. Each meal kit will be packaged appropriately and with care. The kits are shipped included in an insulated box, so there is no need to worry about if you will be at home when the delivery arrives or not. The insulated box will keep your food fresh for hours, even after your meal kit is delivered. Each week, you can change your delivery date and plan.
Plated includes 2-servings to 4-servings plan. Prices are charged on a weekly basis. The pricing will vary based on how many servings you would like per week. If you have found that you no longer have a need for Plated, you can easily cancel the subscription. We have included an easy-to-follow guide that will assist you in understanding how to cancel your subscription. The guide includes all the steps you will need to take, as well as the contact information for Plated. Please continue to read this page for more information.
