Follow these steps:

1. Navigate your internet browser to https://myaccount.google.com/
2. You’ll need to login with username and password
3. By scrolling left, find Data & personalization and click it
4. Click on ‘Delete a service or your account’
5. Click on Delete a service
6. Click on Gmail and then click Delete
